Changing your OneHub/Trade Me login email

This article is for anyone who no longer has access to the email address linked to their Trade Me/OneHub login — for example, an agent who's left an office, or an inbox that's been decommissioned.

Your OneHub login is the same login as your Trade Me account. Whether you can fix this yourself comes down to one thing: do you still know your password?

If you still know your password

Good news — you don't need access to your old email at all. Trade Me's email change process only needs:

  1. You to be logged in (i.e. you know your current password), and

  2. Access to your new email inbox to confirm the change.

Steps:

  1. Go to My Trade Me.

  2. Under 'Update my details', select Change email address.

  3. Add your new email address and enter your password.

  4. Select Save.

  5. Check the inbox of your new email address for a confirmation email, and select Enable your membership to finalise the change.

You'll then use your new email to log into both Trade Me and OneHub.

If you don't know your password either

This is where self-service runs out. Trade Me's password reset works by emailing a reset link to your currently registered (old) email address — so if you can't access that inbox, you won't receive the reset link, and you can't get into your account to change the email yourself.

In this situation, contact Trade Me Support directly — they'll need to verify your identity/account ownership and update the email on your behalf, since neither self-service path (reset password, or change email) is available to you.

Contact

Have your Trade Me listing ID(s) or account/office details ready, along with the new email address you'd like the account updated to.

Going forward: use a personal email to log in

To avoid ending up in this situation again, we recommend logging into OneHub with your personal email address, rather than a work or office one.

Your OneHub login email is only used to sign you in — it's never shown publicly and isn't used for vendor enquiries. Using a personal email means you keep ownership of your account and its data even if you move agencies, since a work email tied to a former employer is commonly deactivated the moment you leave — which is exactly what causes the "locked out of both" scenario above.

If you still want a professional-looking contact point, you can set a separate work email as your OneHub contact email instead. That's the address shown on your Agent Profile and used for enquiries — it's a different field from your login email, so it can stay tied to your current office while your login stays personal and moves with you.

Shared or office login: If this is a shared office login rather than a personal one, loop in your CRM or office team once it's resolved, so their systems get updated with the new login details too.
