How do I earn XP Points?

Currently, you earn points through your listings. Platinum listings earn the most points, Audience Boost, however, if you choose to list Base, you will receive negative points. We'll let you know if and when we'll be adding new ways to earn points.

Your points are valid for the entire year that you are in that tier (July to July) and reset yearly.

Yes, we look back and retrospectively apply points based on your listing history in the 12 months.

By accumulating XP Points you can be eligible to move up a tier at the end of the current year. The more points you earn, the higher your tier.

How do I access my benefits within the Trade Me Wallet?

How is Elite status different?

Elite status is the highest tier and is by selection only. It requires a combination of high XP Points, engagement with Trade Me Property, and selection by the Head of Industry.

How do I become an Elite member?

You need to reach Signature status with 170+ points, engage with Trade Me Property through events and other interactions within the last 12 months, and be selected by the Head of Industry, we will also apply a 5% weighting to those who were previous Elites.

Elite members are selected every July and notified in August.

The criteria include a minimum of 170 XP Points (within the Signature tier), active engagement with Trade Me Property in the last 12 months, and meeting other criteria determined by the Head of Industry.

Every July, we'll calculate your earnings based on the packages you've used in the last 12 months. In August, you'll find out which of the four tiers you're in for the next 12 months:
