What is Watchlist Connect?

Watchlist Connect are messages related to a listing that can be created and displayed in OneHub and on the Listing Details Page (LDP). They are designed to provide communications to Watchlisters.

Who can create messages/updates in Watchlist Connect?

Updates and messages can be created by:
The primary or secondary agent of a listing.
An office / admin impersonating an agent.

Office accounts cannot create Listing Updates unless they are impersonating an agent.

On which listings can Watchlist Connect updates be created?

Accepted Answer

Updates can only be created on Platinum listings. This covers all Residential for Sale categories, i.e. Residential for Sale, New Homes, Lifestyle & Rural.

Can updates be deleted?

Yes, updates can be deleted through OneHub.

Note: this will not prevent the email notification from being sent letting watchlisters know a new update has been posted. Even if deleted this will still count toward your allowed updates

No, at this stage updates cannot be edited. This is why it is important to double-check updates before they are sent.

What is the maximum number of updates I can send per listing?

A maximum of 2 updates can be posted per listing.

If an update is deleted, does this count as one of their 2 updates?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a deleted update still counts towards the total allowance of 2.

Question 8

Are there any character limits or content restrictions for messages?

Accepted Answer

Yes, updates have a character limit of 250 characters and cannot contain URLs.

How frequently can updates be sent?

Accepted Answer

Agents can post 1 update every 3 days. This rule applies even if the most recent update was deleted.

Where are Watchlist Connect updates displayed to users?

Accepted Answer

Updates are displayed in a dedicated section on the Listing Details Page (LDP). This will be displayed on desktop, and all Trade Me apps.
