Changing a listing's address or suburb

- 1 min read
A listing's location should always reflect its real-life position. Here's how editing works, and when it locks.
Edit windows
Field | Locks after |
Street address | 7 days |
Suburb | 14 days |
Once these windows pass, the location fields can no longer be edited by you or your CRM.
If you're within the window
Update the address or suburb directly on Trade Me, or through your CRM as usual.
If you're outside the window
Contact our Customer Experience team — they'll need to make the change on your behalf.
Using a CRM?
You can find the full list of suburbs available on Trade Me here: Retrieve property, jobs and services suburbs
Can't find a Suburb?
Requesting a new suburb when one is missing!
If a suburb you want to list in isn't available on Trade Me, our Customer Support team can create it for you.
How it works
Contact Customer Support to request the new suburb.
We cross-check the request against the NZ Post website and Google Maps before creating it.
Once created, your feed provider will also need to update on their end — Trade Me Property sends providers a newly-created-suburbs update at the beginning of each month.
If you're on a CRM, keep in mind there may be a short delay between a suburb being created on Trade Me and it becoming available to select through your CRM, due to this monthly update cycle.
