How to Reset Your Password on Trade Me
Follow the exact steps to request a reset link.
Navigate to the Login Page:
Open your web browser and go to trademe.co.nz, My Trade Me.
Select Log in.
'Forgotten password?':
Right under the password field, click or tap the blue Forgotten password? hyperlink.
Enter Your Registered Email Address:
Type in the exact email address linked to your Trade Me account.
Double-check for typos or accidental spaces, then select Send instructions (or Next on the mobile app).
Follow the Email Link:
Open your personal email inbox.
Look for an email from Trade Me with password reset instructions.
Open it and click the secure link provided.
(Note: If you don't see it, check your Junk or Spam folder).
Create Your New Password:
Enter your new password, confirm it by typing it again, and select Change password.
You can now log back in successfully!
Troubleshooting Tip: If you change your password but your device keeps rejecting it, your browser or device's built-in password manager might be auto-filling your old, incorrect password. Clear your browser cache and saved passwords for Trade Me before trying to log in with the new one.
