This page covers all the help needed to connect your Trade Me account to your CRM and publish listings!
Connecting your CRM
To get started listing through your office's CRM, you will need to initiate a connection. Every agency uses a different CRM, so if you can't do this yourself, your office tech team will need to initiate the connection.
You will need your Trade Me login credentials to confirm the connection.
Pushing Listings to Trade Me
The listings created in your CRM can be pushed to Trade Me once your account is connected.
Again, every CRM is different, so you will need to confirm with your office tech team exactly how to push listings live from your CRM.
Listings being published to Trade Me will need to have the required fields for the listing category.
Claiming Existing Listings
There is an endpoint on Trade Me that will allow you to claim existing listings.
If your CRM has this capability, then all you need to give them are the Trade Me IDs.
If you don't have that functionality, you will need to re-create your current listings from your new CRM.
You should always contact our team if you need to re-create the listings. That way we can make sure you are not double-charged for the new listings.
Troubleshooting:
Forgotten Passwords
If you do not remember your Trade Me Property password, you will need to use the forgotten password function when logging into Trade Me.
Feed Errors
Every website has its own formatting rules. If some detail on your listing is not available on Trade Me, we won't publish the changes.
Every time you make a change to a listing:
Your feed provider sends an XML code to Trade Me.
If there is a problem with the XML, we will return an error to your feed provider.
If a change you have made is not showing on-site, the Trade Me Team does not have any visibility over the issue, as the code delivered will have been rejected. There is nothing for our account managers or support team to review if the issue or information is not being displayed on Trade Me.
In order to review why something is not feeding through, we can do two things:
Your tech team can tell you the error and what you need to change in your listing information to ensure it feeds through to Trade Me. If they are seeing a larger technical issue, they need to touch base with our support team.
You can send through the XML file from the time you tried to make this update to Trade Me, and our team can let you know what error is preventing this upload. However, as we have no visibility over the listing setup in your feed provider, you would need to know how to make the necessary changes to fix the error.
In the meantime, you can update listings immediately by logging into your Trade Me account and editing the listing there.
