Partnership Agreements

This article covers becoming a Trade Me Property Partner, eligibility, commitment terms, downgrading listings within an agreement, and how zones are determined.

Becoming a partner

Partnership Agreements aren't self-service — they need to be discussed directly with our team, who can talk you through what works best for your business. Contact our team to get started.

Eligibility requirements

To qualify for a Partnership Agreement, you must meet these criteria:

  1. Account type: You must have a Trade Me Property Account.

  2. Eligibility to list: You must be able to list properties on behalf of a vendor.

  3. REA licence: Some specific benefits are reserved only for individuals who hold a current REA licence.

If you meet these and want to move forward, contact our team to discuss next steps.

Commitment & notice period

  • There's no fixed-term commitment — you can stay on a Partnership Agreement for as long as you like.

  • If you ever want to end the agreement, we require 30 days' notice to terminate. Your partnership agreement would then cease at the end of the month during which the 30th notice day elapses.

Downgrading a listing

Downgrading a listing is possible within your Partnership Agreement, but the amount you can downgrade depends on your tier:

Tier

Downgrade limit

Platinum / Platinum Plus

Up to 20% of listings

Silver

Up to 10% of listings

All other PA tiers

0% — downgrading isn't available

Downgrades for your account are confirmed in your Partnership Agreement contract!

If you need to downgrade a listing, contact our team to arrange it.

Checking your zone

Zones are determined by local market dynamics — listing volumes, sale prices, and buyer engagement levels in your area.

  • When your account was created, an email confirming your zone was sent to your business owner.

  • You can also view an indicative zone map here: Property pricing

If you want to double-check your zone, or think your office is on the border of a zone, the indicative map won't give you a definitive answer — contact our team to confirm.
